After your test
What to do once you've completed the test Once you’ve completed the test then you will be able to complete an application for Australian citizenship. The application fee for citizenship by conferral for people who have sat a test will be $240. The fee for an application for citizenship by conferral for people who are not required to have sat a test will remain at $120. Fee concessions will still be available to applicants who are recipients of certain pensions from Centrelink or the Department of Veterans’ Affairs. The concession fee will be increased to $40 for those who have sat a test. The $20 concession fee will continue to apply for those not required to sit a test. There will be no changes to fee exemptions for people who have served in the Australian Defence Force and former British and Maltese Child Migrants. Fees relating to other Australian citizenship applications, that is, fees relating to resumption of Australian citizenship, Australian citizenship by descent, renunciation of Australian citizenship or evidence of Australian citizenship, will stay the same. |
